Imagine the most successful athlete in a sport. Throw in a childhood filled with parental support, a hobby that allows you to hobnob with famous musicians and celebrities and a lifestyle which virtually guarantees that you won’t spend a day alone. Then multiply that by two. What you’re left with is Mike and Bob Bryan.
The identical twins are the best professional doubles tennis team in the world and well on their way to becoming one of the best ever, if not the greatest. With seven grand slam titles (including the career grand slam) and 51 total tournament wins, not to mention more than $5 million in career prize money (each!) all by the age of 30, it’s easy to see why the brothers are the envy of the doubles tennis world.
“Twins have a special bond. It’s pretty much unbreakable. We are one on the tennis court. He knows what I’m going to do and I know where he is going to be. It makes things a lot easier,” Bob Bryan said.
They live, travel and work together and, believe it or not, seldom get on each other’s nerves. They’re also accomplished musicians, having spent enough time (as much if not more so than they do on the court, they admit) in their home-studio to warrant jamming in concert with the Counting Crows and playing a gig at the infamous Viper Room in LA.
It’s enough to make you grow Wimbledon-grass green with envy. But then you speak with them, or they take the time to sign an autograph, maybe even do that chest thump celebration they are known for, and you realize they deserve the life they’ve crafted for themselves. Oh yeah, they’ve also worked double-time to get it.

Fun Fact: The Bryan Brothers have faced each other twice in the finals of mixed-double grand slam tournaments, with each brother winning once.
